Biography:

Amy is a music therapist and psychodramatist with 25 years of experience. Amy believes creativity is a key human resource for growth and change. She provides a compassionate, therapeutic environment in which the creativity of each individual is given room and encouragement to flourish and flow freely. Within a supportive therapeutic relationship, children, teens, and adults are able to draw on their own creative potential in order to move in a desired direction of development or change. Needs commonly addressed include emotional well being, stress management, focus and joint attention, communication skills, relationship issues, social skills, coping with change and loss, working through trauma, recovering from addiction, and/or strengthening a positive sense of self. Biography:

I am a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). I am a private practice music therapist as well as a music therapist at The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital. There, I work with infants, children, adolescents, teens, and young adults with a range of medical illnesses, including cancer and seizure disorders. I have served a wide range of diagnoses and age groups, including hospice patients, the Dementia/Alzheimer's population, children with multiple handicaps and speech delay, and many more. I also offer adapted music lessons for a range of instruments, as I am a multi-instrumentalist. This includes, but is not limited to the violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, ukulele, drums, bass, and mandolin. I have experience in the medical setting, school setting, and private practice setting. I love to help others through the use of my passion; music!
